Jasmine studied performing arts at CSU, Australia. It was here that she fell in love with celluloid. Jasmine went on to train at AFTRS & ARRI Australia as a camera prep tech.
After moving to the USA, Jasmine continued to work as an AC while furthering her training in photography at SMC. Jasmine trained as an AC & photographer on film and still to this day shoots & teaches film classes for Lomography LA, SnapShop! & Julia Dean Photo Workshops. Jasmine is also a camera operator (videographer).
Jasmine’s influences are: Ken Duncan, Peter Lik, Jan Kenny, Dean Semler, Russell Boyd, Don McApline, John Seale, Dion Beebe, Rocky Schenck, Richard Avedon, Julius Shulman, Zoe Wiseman, George Hurrell, Tasya Van Ree & Leonard Nimoy.
Jasmine currently has two prints for exhibit as part of Filter Photo Festival in Chicago. The exhibit "Beginnings: Stories and Starting Points" runs from 4th October till the 31st October. Her work with many other talented artists can be seen at the Black Cloud Gallery, 1909 S. Halsted, Chicago IL.
Jasmine is shooting her second book with author Margaret Floyd of the hit book, Eat Naked.
